European culinary art is a journey through history, culture, and the unique flavors that

characterize the most renowned olive-growing lands on the continent. With great enthusiasm, we

announce the launch of the COLIBRI project, an initiative financed by the European Union through

Regulation 1144/2014, which promotes the discovery and tasting of quality extra virgin olive oil.

For twenty days, the restaurants and retail outlets in Areia Branca will be the stages for this

unprecedented sensory experience. It's an unmissable opportunity for all lovers of good food and

European gastronomic culture!

Thanks to the COLIBRI project, participants will have the privilege of discovering and tasting three

excellences of IGP olive oil: IGP Roma, IGP Toscano, and IGP Campania. IGP, acronym for Protected

Geographical Indication, is one of the certifications recognized by the EU that guarantee the

quality and authenticity of a product, the result of rigorous production controls and respect for

local traditions.

During the event, the cultural and historical roots of these olive-growing lands will be explored,

immersing participants in ancient cultivations that date back thousands of years. Each drop of oil

carries with it the narrative of a territory, a story passed down from generation to generation.

But the experience doesn't stop at mere tasting. Through sessions guided by experts, participants

will learn the art of tasting olive oil, distinguishing its sensory characteristics and appreciating its

unique nuances.
